Privacy Policy
How Traidly handles personal information.
Effective: 30 August 2026
1. About this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Traidly collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information when you use the Traidly website, accounts, profiles, messaging, jobs, subcontracting features, Trade Market, saved items, alerts, Traidly Pro subscriptions and related services.
Traidly intends to handle personal information transparently and in accordance with applicable Australian privacy law. Whether all provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) apply can depend on Traidly’s activities and circumstances. Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply, this policy is intended to address the matters required by APP 1.
2. Personal information we collect
Depending on how you use Traidly, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, account and authentication identifiers, business name, trade type, service area or location, profile information, profile and work photos, website and social links, marketplace listings, job information, subcontracting information, messages, saved items, support correspondence and information you otherwise provide to us.
For Traidly Pro and other paid services, we may receive subscription status, customer and payment-provider identifiers, billing status, transaction references, payment outcome, renewal or cancellation information and limited payment metadata. Full payment-card details are handled by the payment provider rather than intentionally stored by Traidly.
We may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser or device information, session and security events, timestamps, pages and features used, profile views, card clicks, saves, contact interactions, alert activity, referring information and diagnostic data reasonably required to operate, secure, measure and improve Traidly.
3. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you when you create an account, build or edit a profile, upload content, post a job or listing, make yourself available for subcontracting work, send messages, save items, contact support, subscribe to Traidly Pro or otherwise interact with the Platform.
We also collect some information automatically through Traidly’s technical systems and may receive information from providers that support authentication, database hosting, file storage, security, analytics, communications and payments.
4. Why we use personal information
We may use personal information to create and secure accounts; authenticate users; publish information you choose to make public; operate profiles, jobs, subcontracting and Trade Market features; enable messaging and saved items; provide alerts and Traidly Pro; process and administer subscriptions; provide support; measure Platform use and business-profile engagement; prevent fraud and abuse; investigate complaints; enforce platform rules; maintain security; improve Traidly; and comply with legal obligations.
We will not use personal information for an unrelated purpose unless permitted by law or we have obtained any consent that is required.
5. Public profiles and listings
Traidly is designed to make certain user-supplied information public. Depending on the feature and your choices, business names, display names, profile details, trade type, service area or location, work photos, website or social links, reviews, job information, subcontracting availability and marketplace listings may be visible to other users or the public.
Do not publish information you do not want made public. Avoid including sensitive personal information, private addresses, identity documents, financial information or other unnecessary personal details in descriptions, photos or public fields.
6. Messages and private account information
Messages, saved items, account settings and subscription-management information are intended to be available only as required to provide the relevant feature, subject to authorised administrative, security, legal or technical access.
Traidly may access or preserve information where reasonably necessary to investigate a report, protect users or the Platform, enforce applicable rules, resolve technical issues, or comply with a legal obligation.
7. Traidly Pro and payments
Traidly uses a third-party payment provider to process Traidly Pro payments and manage subscription billing. Payment information you enter during checkout is provided to that payment provider. Traidly may receive information needed to activate, manage, cancel and support your subscription, such as payment status, subscription identifiers, billing period, renewal status and limited transaction details.
We may use this information to provide paid features, confirm entitlement to Traidly Pro, handle subscription changes, investigate payment issues, maintain accounting records and comply with legal obligations.
8. Disclosure of information
We may disclose personal information to other users where necessary for a feature you choose to use; to technology, hosting, storage, communications, analytics, security and payment providers that help operate Traidly; to professional advisers where reasonably necessary; in connection with a genuine business restructure or sale subject to appropriate protections; or where required or authorised by law.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary and permitted by law to investigate fraud, security incidents, unlawful conduct, threats to safety, serious platform misuse or disputes.
9. Service providers and overseas handling
Traidly uses third-party infrastructure and service providers, including providers for database, authentication, storage and payment processing. Depending on the provider, project configuration and its subprocessors, personal information may be stored, processed or accessed in Australia or overseas.
Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply and Traidly discloses personal information to an overseas recipient, Traidly will take steps required by applicable Australian privacy law. Provider infrastructure and processing locations can change, so Traidly may update this policy as its service-provider arrangements develop.
10. Cookies, local storage and analytics
Traidly may use cookies, browser storage and similar technologies for authentication, security, session continuity, preferences and Platform functionality. We may also record Platform analytics and interaction events to understand use of features, profile engagement, performance and reliability.
If Traidly introduces optional advertising, third-party tracking or materially different analytics technologies, this policy and any required notices or controls will be updated accordingly.
11. Alerts, notifications and marketing
If you enable alerts or other notifications, Traidly may use your account and preference information to identify relevant Platform activity and deliver those notifications.
Where Traidly sends commercial electronic messages, we will do so in accordance with applicable Australian spam laws. Marketing messages will identify the sender and include a functional unsubscribe method where required. You may also contact hello@traidly.com.au to withdraw marketing consent.
Account, security, payment, transaction, subscription and other service communications may still be sent where necessary to provide Traidly or otherwise permitted by law.
12. Security
We take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Measures may include authentication controls, access restrictions, database security rules, encrypted connections, provider security controls, monitoring and administrative safeguards.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You should use a strong unique password, protect access to your email and devices, sign out of shared devices and contact Traidly if you suspect unauthorised account access.
13. Data breaches
Traidly will assess suspected data breaches and take appropriate containment, investigation and remediation steps. Where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies and the legal threshold for notification is met, Traidly will make notifications required by the Privacy Act.
14. Retention, account closure and deletion
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to provide and secure the Platform, administer subscriptions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain business and accounting records, enforce agreements and meet legal obligations.
When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it where required by applicable law. Public content may stop appearing after deletion while limited copies remain temporarily in backups, logs, security records, transaction records or material retained for legitimate legal and dispute purposes.
Account deletion does not necessarily cancel an active paid subscription. Users should separately cancel Traidly Pro through the subscription-management process before or when closing an account.
15. Access and correction
You can update some personal information through your Traidly account or profile. You may also request access to personal information Traidly holds about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading by emailing hello@traidly.com.au.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Where applicable law permits or requires an exception, we will handle the request in accordance with those requirements.
16. Privacy complaints
If you believe Traidly has mishandled your personal information, email hello@traidly.com.au with enough information for us to understand and investigate the issue. We will review the complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable period.
If the Privacy Act applies to the matter and you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
17. Children
Traidly is intended for people capable of entering the arrangements relevant to the Platform and is not designed as a service directed to young children. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child in circumstances where collection or consent is not appropriate, we will take reasonable steps to address it.
18. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy when Traidly’s features, providers, practices or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on the Platform with its effective date. Where appropriate, we will take reasonable steps to notify users of material changes.
For privacy questions, access or correction requests, complaints or account-deletion enquiries, contact hello@traidly.com.au.
